New Year

Only 11 days into the new year & I’m at it again. I’ve met someone. We emailed for several weeks, then I gave him my number. In three days, we’ve talked for more than 10 hours. What in the world could we have to talk about for that long??? So far we seem to get along well; we both like the same things, we seem to entertain one another. I guess we’ll find out Saturday if there’s anything there. We’re meeting for supper & maybe a movie; trying to work out schedules & movie times is making it a bit difficult. I’m trying not to get over-excited about it; I’ve been burned too many times so I don’t really want to get worked up only to crash & burn again. But I am looking forward to it, seeing whether our phone relationship can make the transition to face to face.

New Year Resolutions

It's the beginning of the new year, and the beginning of yet another year of making new year resolutions that I won't keep. However, this year I aim to be different. This year I vow to actually keep some of these...at least for more than a month.

1. Accept my singleness for what it is: an opportunity for me to become the wife my future husband is seeking.
2. Be more open to new experiences, and to stretching myself in my ministry.
3. Accept myself, flaws and all.

There are others, the usual "get in shape, get out of debt, etc etc etc" ones, but these are the main ones I plan to focus on.
